Skip's Curated Jobs: May 18, 2024

Thank you for reading the EdSkipper, Skip’s newsletter about skipping from education to education-aligned careers. Every Saturday, I send out a list of curated remote jobs curated from 300+ companies each week. Premium subscribers receive access to all jobs in the Edskipper database and two additional emails a month with advice to help you apply more competitively.
I remember loving standardized testing days. It finally gave me some time to do my lesson planning during a regular work day rather than crammed into evenings or weekends!
I was talking this past week to an educator who recently transitioned into a community educator role. They’re being given an entire month to plan upcoming programming. A month with dedicated time in their day-to-day to accommodate this planning.
Why don’t we consider our educators as the professionals we are and give them adequate time, during the work day, to do curriculum, evaluation, and communication work?
Rhetorical question, I know.
But I do hope that the rise of edtech will help others see that the work educators do when the students are gone is just as important as the work they do when the students are in the room.
~I hope you find some fantastic jobs to apply to this weekend,
Chelsea
