Skip's Edtech Jobs: February 3, 2024

Thank you for reading the EdSkipper, Skip’s newsletter about skipping from education to education-aligned careers. Every Saturday, I send out a list of curated remote jobs. Premium subscribers receive access to additional jobs in the Edskipper database and two additional emails a month with advice to help you apply more competitively.

Happy Saturday!

While I usually only share jobs for adults, every once in awhile I see paid opportunities for teens.

Since I’m not currently in the classroom, I don’t have any teens to share these awesome opportunities with. It makes me happy to know exactly where to find a bunch of passionate educators who can pass them along. If you’re in Appalachia, check out the location-specific jobs section for an opportunity to share with teens in your area.

~I hope you find some fantastic jobs to apply to this weekend,

This Week’s Poll

The next premium newsletter (mid-February) is going to be a deep dive into sales roles — feel free to share your burning questions in the comments to the poll, and I’ll work them into the post!

Last Week’s Poll

Last week’s poll results were interesting! I knew folks were applying to roles locally but what’s news to me is knowing that half of you are applying to roles locally because you prefer the work environment that hybrid offices provide. One person noted that one thing she loves about teaching is the social aspect so she doesn’t want to entirely lose that in a remote role.

A few folks asked if I include hybrid roles on the job board. I don’t currently include hybrid roles and, to be honest, hadn’t ever planned to. But the tech my husband is building for the new and improved job site would make it easier to share hybrid roles.

I definitely plan to bring back the location-specific roles when we launch the new site. Given the results of this poll, I’ve added hybrid roles as a future feature to consider further. (You’ll all have jobs by then but when you’re ready for a second edskip, I’ll be ready.)

🐈 Jam, our oldest cat, would like to register his preference: remote work and at a desk. He likes to cuddle in my lap — not cuddled next to me on a sofa.

FULL-TIME JOBS

These are only some of the jobs I’ve posted this week! View all the remote jobs.
